Many people often feel sad and lost, sometimes do not feel like doing anything in the life. We get tired with the passage of time and feel stuck. Coming out of the pensive state of mind is really very difficult, but not impossible. Happiness is a choice. When we take a sincere resolution to be happy in each and every situation no one can stop us from doing so. I find the way to do so in many ways, first of all I tried to understand what happiness means to me. Before discussing that, here is little fable, I met an old woman in her seventies, I asked mamma what do you think what happiness is? She looked at my face and tried to answer my question, before that she could utter something, I flooded her with a number of more questions, like mamma, ’’Are you happy in your life?’’ ‘’What were your happiest moments in the life?’’ ‘’Can we buy it from somewhere?’’ The old woman held my hand gently and asked me to sit down, she with her wise and loving looks stared at me for some time, then started giving me the meaning of happiness. She said ,’’my child if we give a superficial gaze to the lives of the people everyone seems to be happy as well as sad.’’ She had six sons but all were killed one by one in one or the other manner, yet she had a smile on her face that she is having fourteen of her grandchildren with her, all her body parts were working perfectly and was in good mental state of mind. I was astonished to hear her words, but she further added that in this world only those people are happy who choose to be happy in all the phases of life, and find the positivity in the worst situations also and follow the gratuitous attitude towards life.
All the human beings are in the search of real happiness. Its definition differs from person to person. Some people find their happiness in family or having a lot of money or with both , there are people who are happy with trivial things, even the smallest moment of their lives make them happy on the other hand there are people who are not happy even after having everything in their lives. Such type of people are unsatisfied in their lives. As I said happiness is a choice. Keep smiling in all the situations of your life, because you are the only one who knows yourself well. There are few steps that can help you to be happy not in the corona virus pandemic but throughout your life:
- Always keep smiling, no matter what is happening around you, don’t try to be insensitive to the situations, but smile on your face give relief to yourself and the people around you. It’s a sign of hope for everyone. It also increases the beauty of your face and creates an aura of positivity and wellness.
- Stop expecting, the mantra to be happy in life is, don’t expect anything from anyone, expectations are hurting when not fulfilled. Believe in giving not in taking, Universe has already given us in abundance if we ever try to make the list of that.
- Stop being perfect. No one is perfect in this life, so don’t try to be perfect, it’s a struggle within us , once we adopt the attitude of making or showing ourselves perfect in our lives, it takes away our whole energy, some people spend their entire life to be favorite of one particular person or a group of persons or being well-known person in an institute, doing so they waste their talent and potential ,instead of doing so don’t do wrong to anyone , try to do best which suits you most and gives you pleasure and satisfaction.
- Love yourself. No one knows you better than yourself. You are the only person who can guide yourself honestly. Your inner clear consciousness never allows you to do wrong or to harm anyone, don’ t kill it at any cost, because you will be going to be the ultimate sufferer. Love is the universal compassion, every relationship based on it, only those can love others who love and care of themselves, because they always take care of their words and gestures that should not hurt the feelings of others.
- Adopt gratuitous attitude towards life. One must be thankful to the Supreme whatever He has given us in our lives. Make daily a list of things which we are thankful to have in our lives. Don’t forget to be thankful to the creator that he has given us life, sense to understand the happenings around us, breathe we are taking and all the body parts internal and external we are having.
Happiness is not dependency it’s the inner music. You can listen to its notes anytime, anywhere.
